The GOC silent auction was a huge success in raising lots of money for the mission budget this year.  Everybody had alot of fun bidding, eating, and socializing in helping spread the Gospel of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ throughout the world.  Here you can see some of the action that took place during this wonderful event.

About two to three weeks ago the famous radio show Issues Etc. was taken off the air.  It was an outlet of confessional Lutheranism to many listeners around the world.  You can read here and here on the ongoing battle to return Issues Etc. to the airwaves.

Here are some pictures from Easter Sunday 2008.  There was a lot of socializing and preaching about the resurrection of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Pastor Klemet Preus gave a great sermon on John 20:1-18 and the music was quite nice from the adult choir and bell choir.  You can listen to the service here.

The Easter breaskfast was great.  Thank you to the elders for such good food.  You can see some of the gourmet cooking going on with socializing from the GOC members here.

The youth pasta dinner was a great social gathering for GOC members where it raised money for youth activities throughout the year.  Here you can see some photos taken of this wonderful event.  Also, thank you to the Mike Olson family for making all the great food!

Rev. John T. Pless recently visited our church in discussing a great topic this past Saturday on February 9th, 2008.  The topic was "Liturgy and Vocation".  You can listen to the whole lay workshop here if you were not able to make it due to the weather or other activities.
